Why I Became a Therapist

What I find to be rewarding and inspiring is to be a part of the process that helps another gain enough self awareness and confidence that they are able to move past surviving and are able to thrive.

Expertise:

Anxiety Treatment

Anxiety is one of the main areas I focus on in therapy. Through my work in the K-12 school system, I’ve seen how stress, pressure, and uncertainty can impact children and teens in big ways. I enjoy working with kids and adolescents who are struggling with anxiety because I understand how overwhelming it can feel, both for them and their families. In sessions, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where my clients can explore their worries, learn practical coping skills, and begin to feel more confident and at ease in their everyday lives.

Depression

Depression is another area I am passionate about supporting. Having seen friends and family members struggle with depression, I understand how heavy and isolating it can feel. This personal connection drives me to walk alongside my clients with empathy and hope. In therapy, I provide a safe space to talk openly about difficult emotions, while also helping clients build tools and strategies that foster connection, resilience, and a renewed sense of possibility.

Play Therapy

I enjoy using Play Therapy because I have always had a passion for working with kids. Play is a child’s natural way of expressing thoughts and emotions, and it often allows them to communicate what they might not yet have words for. In sessions, I use play as a tool to help children process their feelings, build problem-solving skills, and gain confidence in themselves. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging environment where kids can feel understood and begin to heal through the language of play.
