Why I Became a Therapist
The most rewarding part of being a therapist is witnessing the freedom, direction, and confidence clients gain along their personal journey.
Expertise:
Anxiety Treatment
Living with anxiety myself has given me a personal understanding of just how overwhelming it can feel. Along my journey, I’ve been supported by mentors and counselors who challenged and encouraged me, helping me grow in meaningful ways. Now, as a therapist, I bring that same collaborative spirit to my work with clients. It’s been deeply rewarding to walk alongside people as they navigate their own experiences with anxiety and to see the positive impact that compassionate support and practical tools can have in helping them find relief and resilience.
Teens
My own teenage years came with personal identity challenges that shaped how I understand and connect with young people today. As a parent, I’ve also had the privilege of walking alongside my own children as they navigated this developmentally complex and often overwhelming season of life. Teens today face unique pressures—from the influence of social media to the fast pace of our digital culture—that can intensify the already difficult work of growing up. I’m passionate about creating a space where teenagers feel seen, supported, and empowered as they navigate these challenges and discover who they are.
Veterans
As a military spouse, I’ve experienced first-hand the trauma that can come with military service, as well as the ongoing second-hand impact of more than two decades of the military lifestyle and its unique demands. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for both the challenges and the resilience that service members and their families carry. I’ve also witnessed, in myself and in others, the incredible beauty of post-traumatic growth—the ways healing, strength, and meaning can emerge from even the hardest circumstances. It’s an honor to walk alongside veterans as they navigate their journeys toward healing and hope.
