Why I Became a Therapist

The most rewarding part of being a therapist is witnessing the freedom, direction, and confidence clients gain along their personal journey.

Expertise:

Anxiety Treatment

Living with anxiety has given me a personal understanding of just how overwhelming it can feel. Throughout my own journey, I have been supported by mentors and counselors who challenged and encouraged me, sparking meaningful growth. Today, I bring that same collaborative spirit to my clinical work. It is deeply rewarding to walk alongside clients as they navigate their own experiences, and I am consistently inspired by the resilience people find when equipped with compassionate support and practical tools.

Teens & Adolescents

The "identity shifts" of my own youth, combined with my experience as a parent navigating the complex milestones of adolescence, deeply inform how I connect with young people. Today’s teens face unprecedented pressures; the influence of social media and the relentless pace of digital culture can make an already difficult stage of life feel insurmountable. I am passionate about creating a secure space where teenagers feel truly seen and empowered to meet these challenges head-on while discovering their authentic selves.

Veterans & Military Families

As a seasoned military spouse, I have an intimate understanding of the unique culture and inherent traumas associated with service to our nation. For sixteen years, I have provided individual and group support to military families, helping them navigate the specific complexities of the "dependent" experience. These years have instilled in me a profound respect for the resilience of service members. Having witnessed the beauty of post-traumatic growth in myself and others, I believe that healing and meaning can emerge from even the most difficult circumstances. It is one of my greatest honors to walk alongside veterans and their families in pursuit of hope.
